Fire Grate

Fire Grate

Does anyone else have issues with their fire grate sitting too low? I'm looking at getting a guru, but it says to mount it 1 inch below the fire grate. I have maybe 1/4 - 1/2 inch clearance from the bottom of my smoker to the fire grate. This smoker is a Cheyenne by the way.
