Hello Yoder Smoker lovers out there. I'm new to smoking and I will be buying a YS 640 Yoder smoker within the next week or so. But in the meantime I would like to stock up on wood pellets. Which brand of pellets would you recommend and which type of wood would be best for all around smoking? I can't wait for my Yoder Smoker

I use BBQRs Delight pellets. Specifically I use a 50/50 mix of pecan and cherry for everything.

The answer can depend on what part of the US you live in? BBQers are a good pellet, I agree. In many parts of the US, you can find these at Walmart rebranded as B & B.
I recommend an oak based pellet rather than alder based, unless smoking fish. For low n slow a 100% hickory is great and the two most popular are CookinPellets and Lumberjack.
