Hi Guys,
Tossing up between the YS640 or the 1500. The only thing I am stuck on at this moment is getting the YS1500 around to places.

I see it is close to 300Kgs, I have a ute and also a Dirt Bike Trailer, but I dont know if me and my missus can pull 300Kg up a ramp.

How do you guys transport them? Can two people pull it around easy.

On the YS640 capacity, on an average how many can I cook for on that? Say Brisket and ribs.

Want to cook for some local shows, weddings.

Two briskets and 4 raacks of ribs at the same time. 12 chickens at the same time 8 on the bottom 4 on top.

I haul a 640 and a 1500 in a 6'x10' trailer, with the 640 crossways in the front and the 1500 over the axel. The trailer is low, so the ramp door is not as steep as a higher trailer. I can load and unload the cookers myself, but help from another person sure makes it much easier.

G'day Waddo, My YS1500 arrived a few weeks ago and one of the purchase decisions was its portability however upon arrival it quickly became apparent this was going to be a bear to move around made worse by the fact that i live on a hill and would like to be able to move it up and down my block whenever required so i've just added a small ATV remote control winch that will hopefully allow moving this on steep gradients a one man job.

Wonder if its worth throwing an Axle between the two rear wheels and a 12 Volt motor to turn them?

Okay, I'll ask a question that may well be uncommon and about something unpractical: would it be feasible to ship a Yoder Smokers grill abroad? And by abroad, I mean to Europe?

The thing is that I'll soon come back to the USA, but my wife and I have been planning to buy this house in Greece within a year or two and would like to retire there a couple years later. If the claims of the YS grills being "the last one you'll need" are right, then the thing will be very much alive and kicking by then. Is it even possible to ship this abroad? (we're researching the issue, and would like to see if it's possible to rent a container on a ship to send all of our stuff there)
Of course, we can buy another grill there, but such investments have to be planned years prior, and we're calculating what would be the cheapest option, sending our belongings there or selling them/giving them to our children and buying everything anew in Europe.

The larger issue is that the units you can buy in the USA are 110V 60Hertz, and Europe is 220V 50Hertz. We do not sell 220V units in the USA. Assuming you are asking about a YS1500 pellet, as this is what this thread is about.
