Today i tried to start up my 1500 in cold weather, it was 20F (-6C) outside, no wind, and it faild to ignite? Twice. So i ended up starting the pit with a torch, no big deal, but is this normal? The firegrate and grill was cleaned out from ash and the grate in its propper position.

Have you taken the end off the cooker and cleaned the fans and the inside of the hopper area? Page 29 of the YS1500 manual: download/Manuals/Pellet%20Manuals/1500%20Manual%207-3-2014.pdf

At a minimum, once a year.
