I bought the YS640 a couple of months ago and just fired it up today to do the initial burn. All went well. I now have seasoned the unit and restarted the unit. Of course the initial setting is 350. I tried to lower the setpoint to 250 degrees but am having all kinds of trouble. The unit seems to be displaying the unit temperature. When I press the decrease button I have no idea what temperature I have adjusted to. Obviously I am missing something. I have temperature controllers mounted on both of my other non-pellet style smokers and when I change the setpoint it tells me what the new setpoint is.
Any help would be appreciated.
