Prime button stuck

I have a ys640 and the controller buttons are really sticky in general (you press them in and they don't release quickly or easily and it has been that way since day 1). Well the prime button is pushed in and it's not releasing. It's stuck. Any ideas?

The areas that you press on the controller are not buttons. It is an overlay with an adhesive back that allow you to press the underlying button.
