My YS640 blows the blows the fuse 4 mins after start. Igniter gets hot enough to light the pellets before the fuse blows. If I disconnect the igniter and use a lighter to light the pellets, the fuse does not blow. Will replacing the igniter resolve this issue? If so, do you recommend I replace with the YS Series Ceramic Pellet Grill Igniter? My YS640 was manufactured on 040418, serial number 37337, has firmware U29 installed and delivered May 18.
Yes, replace the igniter.
The ceramic igniter has a 3 year warranty, but does not preclude the requirement to remove the ash from the burn grate prior to each use.
Thank you for the quick response to my query. I do remove the ash from the burn grate before every smoke. I'll order a ceramic igniter today. Hope you have a great New Year!
