This is a Terrible way to treat your customers Yoder!
There was not a single employee outside of the Development Team that had any prior knowledge of any changes or updates. No sales or customer service personnel had any prior knowledge of the model "s" announcement. We all found out at the exact same time it was announced publically. So if you called anytime prior to 12 noon CDT on April 24, 2019, no one had any knowledge of anything being announced, so what you were told was what we all knew to be true.
Also, Yoder Smokers NEVER leaves any customer behind. All of our changes are completely compatible with any of our cookers, all the way back to the very first cookers sold, Just to be clear, the price of the new "s" cookers went up with the announcement, so anyone buying the new "s" cookers will be paying more than anyone that purchased the standard cookers. Since the pricing for the ACS retro fit kits have yet to be announced, it is not known what someone that bought a prior model would have to pay to upgrade, compared to the new "s" model pricing.
I personally am not aware of any company that announces anything that is in development prior to any official public announcement. As a point of reference, I bought a $60,000 diesel truck, and a new mid-year model, with new features I would have liked to have had, was announced the very next week after my purchase, and when I asked if I could update my truck to the new features, I was told a very unpleasant "NO".
