Hi,
Just got my YS640s about a week ago and did my burn in Sunday. Found a 'cold' spot on the upper left rack, but after reviewing the temperature profile data I think I'll be all right. I'll keep monitoring temps when I start cooking next week or so.
Anyway, I've searched through the forums here and can't quite find what I'm looking for. Also, I don't see this setting documented in my manuals.
I found that by pressing in on the temperature control knob I can change the allowable temperature range from +/- 25 to +/- 5 degrees. I prefer to have the tighter range, so I'd like that to be the default setting. Is there a place I can set that, so I don't have to check or change it with every cook?
Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
Bob
To change the temperature in 5° increments, just turn the knob up or down for the temperature you would like.
There isn't a "default" setting. Holding the knob in will cause faster changes in temperature setting.
I'll have to send a picture. To me, it looks like an actual change to a setting in the controller that allows for either +/-25 degree temp swings or +/-5 degree temp swings. It's only pressing and releasing the knob, not holding it in. There is a display on the controller that states what the allowed temp range is set to after releasing the press in.
I understand how to adjust the cooker set temp by turning the knob. This setting is different.
Thanks,
Bob
Ok, I understand now. This is not the setting of temperature "swings" it is setting how much the set temperature changes for each turn of the knob.
Ah Ha!! That makes sense now. I didn't try it out yet, but I will soon. Thought we maybe had the ability to switch between modes on the controller.
Thanks!
