Yesterday I completed the ACS conversion along with the ceramic igniter and new burn grate.
I did install the new fuse that came with the igniter.
Everything is running fine in the controller. WiFi, Bluetooth, and fans.
When I started the grill to do a test run cook, I couldn’t get the pellets to ignite. You can see the glow of the igniter thru the holes in the burn grate, but is seems the tip is not that hot.
Eventually the burn pot will overflow before it ignites.
I did verify that the igniter wire was plugged in properly.
I’m wondering if the ceramic igniter I received is defective.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Art
Herb,
I got it working yesterday. I think I may have had too many pellets in the burn pot and smothered the flame.
I had put some in by hand as the auger was not primed.
Started it without loading the pot and it was fine.
I also ran a test run to calibrate it. Do you think it needs adjusting?
