Well after installing my retrofit ACS on my ys640 I did 2 calibration tests and was very dissapointed. I followed Yoder Herb's post here, http://community.yodersmokers.com/viewt ... =73&t=2033, exactly.
After 1 hour:
pit temp was 250 and it held steady between 250-255 the entire time.
Probe 1 - 11 inches away from firebox was 287 degrees.
Probe 2 - 22 inches away from firebox was 300 degrees.
Both probes stayed at those temps pretty much the entire cook.
Not to mention the fireboard app lost connection twice both times I tested the calibration. Yes it is hooked up to my wifi and wont connect again until you restart the grill.
After 1 hour I adjusted the VDD and it did absolutely nothing when I ran it again for another hour. At the end of the day 50 degree temperature difference between the thermocoupler and 22 inches away is pretty unacceptable.
Doing another calibration now after offsetting the pit +10, and I am 5 degrees off from probe 1 and 30 off from probe 2. Fireboard app will not work at all.

Just wanted to give an update so everyone that read my initial post knows. After talking with yoder support I got my offset done correctly and have +/- 5 degree temp swings from my probe 2 and +/- 10 degree temp swings from pit to probe 1. I have a +15 degree offseta and its pretty even across the grates now. Thank you yoder support. They also included Ted from fireboard on our emails and he pulled some logs while I was live testing. Thanks to you as well Ted.
The whole bunch is great. Ted has always helped me with all my FireBoard questions. So happy these two companies are working together.
