I was hoping to order a 480 real soon but wondering if I should wait for the big announcement?

Herb, u said on the 1st of Sept that there will be another announcement of an upgrade next week . Well it's now 2 weeks from your post. Just sayin .......
Again, as soon as it is released to production, and I am allowed to announce it, I will post it here.
We will be putting the new accessory up on the forum on Monday 09/22. We apologize for the delay, Production is running a bit behind on this project. We have been cranking cookers out and in the process of moving part of our production into the newly remodel space. This has caused a small delay in releasing this accessory.

I apologize for the wait on this project. We have created a new heat diffuser that we planned to offer as a add on accessory. Don and I haven't been 100% satisfied with its performance just yet. I will be doing some further testing through the week to see if I can get satisfied with the performance. As many of you know we are always working on the product. We want to release additions and improvements to the product that enhance the cooking experience.

im gonna guess a heat diffuser that you do not need to remove to direct grill over the fire pot... Like a sliding window in it or something...
