Anybody have any insight on how the YS1500 would operate in colder climates (20 degrees F would be the lowest) ? Any Canadians out there running the YS1500 ? Looking to get a pellet grill for competitions.
Get the blanket, I think you'd want it up there. I think the YS1500 has it as an option.
We have lots of users in the Dakotas, Iowa, Minnesota, and Canada, that use their cookers all year round.
There isn't an option for the 1500 for a thermal blanket, but customers have said that they use a welding blanket for a thermal barrier.
I live in Saskatchewan Canada I have a 480 and have had nothing no issues with it in the winter
Get a welding blanket. Then a moving blanket. Toss them on top. They are cheap. I live in Las Vegas and use them. It does get under 32 F here at times. Saves pellets for sure.
