I am towards the end of an overnight brisket smoke. This would be my 2nd cook on a brand new 640. During the night when i went out to monitor the pit, I noticed that the blue display led lights were not lit on increase/decrease pads. The blue led's on the start/prime pads are fully lit. I can't say for certain, but i was pretty sure during my 1st cook last week, that both pads were fully lit.
can anybody tell me if both the increase/decrease pads and the start/prime are both supposed to be backlit? Im thinking i lost or burned out the Led on the increase/decrease side.
posting a picture below...you can see how the increase/decrease pads are not lit.
That looks normal to me man. I don't think they are back lit as much as they have the blueish LED in the middle that bleeds light out behind the display and the buttons.
herb, is jfred correct, is there only 1 blue led that light that is shared by both the increase/decrease and the start/prime pads? Its not a big deal or anything., but it just looked pretty strange that the start/prime pads were fully lit, and the increase/decrease was non-existent. especially when i was observing it in pitch black night, with no outside lights on.
seems to me that all the pads ought be equally backlit and not just one side.
ok...thanx
None of the pads are backlit. There is only one blue LED used to show power is applied to the controller. If the pads appear to be backlit, it is only bleed over from the blue LED.
