Has anyone ever swapped out the 640 base for the competition base? I am asking, because I have a bit of a slope in my backyard and when I move the smoker over the grass it tears up the grass. I live in Colorado and with the bipolar weather here, I move the smoker from the garage to the back porch on occasion. Needless to say, its a huge back pain moving the smoker over the grass. One of the back wheels also came off the rim. Other than making a sidewalk or some other landscaping idea that my wife wants me to do. I would like to modify the smoker to be more ATVish.
The process is very easy, unbolt the cooker from the old cart, move it to the competition cart, and bolt it down.
The implementation of the process is complicated because of the weight of the cooker, 300+ pounds. If you have 3 friends to help you do the transfer, you won't have any issues.
